Afro-Asia Minerals Resources Holdings Limited (AAMR) is an international enterprise focusing on the investment, mining, and operation of mineral resources, registered in the British Virgin Islands.
A significant asset owned by AAMR is the potassium chloride mining license under its subsidiary MagMinerals Potasses Congo SA (MPC), located in Pointe-Noire, Republic of Congo (Congo-Brazzaville), Africa. The mining license covers an area of 136 square kilometers, with the primary resource being potassium in the form of the mineral photohalite (KMgCl₃•6H₂O). Within the 15.73 square kilometers that have been verified, there are reserves of 3.3 billion tons of carnallite, containing 570 million tons of potassium chloride (KCl) and 9.213 million tons of bromine (Br₂). These resources are used for the production of potassium chloride, bromine, caustic soda, magnesium oxide, and industrial salt. MPC plans to conduct exploration work on the unexplored 120.27 square kilometers of the mining area in the second half of 2024.
The Mengo Potash-Bromine Project boasts substantial resource reserves, high-grade ores, low energy costs, efficient logistics, and a self-constructed terminal, positioning it as a prime candidate for a world-class potash-bromine production hub. The project is designed to maximize resource utilization, producing a range of products including potassium chloride, bromine, caustic soda, industrial salt, magnesium oxide, and media for solar thermal power generation. This initiative not only ensures food security in response to global population growth but also lays a foundation for Africa's food self-sufficiency and industrial advancement, while contributing to the global push for clean energy.
